Clampitt Paper Company Announces Senior Level Promotions

In spite of supply chain issues and the relentless attacks of Covid-19, Clampitt Paper Company continues to thrive and grow. Aggressively hiring, the firm is poised for additional growth in primary markets in the west and southwest. To support that growth the firm announced recent promotions of four key company leaders.
Entering his 17th year with Clampitt Paper, John McGuire (pictured above) has been named Vice President of Equipment Sales. He joined the company in 2005 after nearly 25 years in various management roles with International Paper Company and Fraser Papers. “John has become our ‘go-to’ guy for all things related to equipment and wide format printing at Clampitt,” says Chairman Don Clampitt. “The future of equipment looks bright with John at the helm.”
Meredith Clampitt (pictured above) has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Over the past 11 years, Meredith has worked her way up through the company. Upon graduation from the University of Kansas, she began her career in customer service, then expanded her knowledge to become Clampitt Creative Center’s coordinator. Meredith then stepped into business development which led to her next promotion to director of creative services.
Candie Garcia (pictured above) has been promoted to Senior Operations Manager at Clampitt Paper. “During her 20+ years at Clampitt, Candie has continuously proven how integral she is to the company,” says Don Clampitt. “Her expertise in purchasing, management and vendor relations is unmatched. Her consistency and dedication to customers and employees alike has made her irreplaceable in the organization.”
In Oklahoma City, Dereck Gilbert (pictured above) has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Clampitt’s Oklahoma operations. Joining the firm nearly four years ago, Dereck has more than 20 years in the paper industry and has held operations positions with Unisource Worldwide Inc. and Woodland Paper Inc. He will be expanding Clampitt’s reach in the Oklahoma market and helping to enhance market share.
Founded in 1941, Clampitt Paper Co. specializes in wholesale paper distribution through locations in roughout Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado. The firm employs more than 200 people and owns 11 FasClampitt Paper Stores. Beyond paper distribution, Clampitt Paper provides specialty programs and services for business and industry, including Recycling Partnerships, the Clampitt Paper School, and the Clampitt Creative Center.
