Georgia-Pacific Bringing 200+ Jobs to Tennessee

Georgia-Pacific recently announced plans to invest at least $425 million to erect a state-of-the-art Dixie manufacturing facility in Jackson, Tenn. The 900,000-square-foot plant, which will create 220 new jobs in Madison County, will focus on manufacturing Dixie-brand paper plates and bowls to support the company's increase in product demand. Construction on the new facility is set to start before the end of December for a projected summer 2024 completion. With the addition of the new Tennessee facility, Georgia-Pacific will have a total of a half-dozen operations dedicated to manufacturing Dixie products, four of which produce bowls and plates.
