Alain Villemure was destined for a bright future in paper. He was born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, which was the world capital of pulp and paper as he was growing up. Throughout his career journey, he has recognized the power of the human element and responsibility to sustainability and safety in the industry.

“Sustainability is a need. As a company, we have to meet that need. As a general population, we recognize that we have only one planet, and we need to take care of it. So when we use resources, we have to do it in a way that minimizes the impact to preserve the place where we live,” Villemure shares.
