Clearwater Paper to Use CNG Recycled PE in Packaging Options

Clearwater Paper Corp. has agreed to partner with specialty film manufacturer Charter Next Generation (CNG) for an early-to-market initiative to include advanced recycled polyethylene (PE) in Clearwater's private-label tissue packaging offerings. The Spokane, Washington-based company says the purchase of this material in the place of traditional resins helps "give new life to" some plastics that would otherwise be headed to landfills. Mike Urlick, general manager of consumer products at Clearwater, remarks, "This advancement is critical to our success in meeting and exceeding sustainability goals for Clearwater Paper.”
