Georgia-Pacific is currently in the process of relaunching its ARIA® brand of bath tissue. The new, three-ply premium product is made from 100% recycled fiber and wrapped in recyclable paper packaging. Caitlin Allen, brand director for Georgia-Pacific, concedes that the original ARIA offering did not meet consumers' desired level of eco-friendliness as the product included both virgin fiber and plastic packaging. She notes, "The new ARIA combines the premium softness of a three-ply design with the eco-conscious benefits of recycled fiber and recyclable paper packaging which separates it from other eco-positioned options." ARIA bath tissue is manufactured at Georgia-Pacific's mill in Halsey, Ore. The recycled fiber is made mostly from high-grade Sorted Office Paper recovered from office buildings and schools that would otherwise have gone to landfill.
