Mars Doubts It Can Achieve 2025 Sustainable Packaging Targets

Mars noted in its recently released 2023 sustainability report that while it is making "good progress" on achieving the company's 2025 packaging circularity aims, doing so ahead of next year is not likely. A Mars statement read that "the design and infrastructure changes needed are taking longer than we anticipated," and, as such, "we are unlikely to fully meet them by the end of 2025." As of press time, it was uncertain whether Mars would push out the date for the goals or set new sustainable packaging targets.
