Siegwerk Unveils New Paper Coatings for Circular Packaging

Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings, will unveil an array of innovative paper coatings at the Specialty Papers Europe 2024 event in early September. These new coatings will enhance the barrier and heat-seal properties of paper packaging while maintaining recyclability. Siegwerk's new CIRKIT range offers water-based coatings that can be applied in standard paper mill processes. Oliver Waddington, Siegwerk's head of Business Development and Circular Economy Coatings, remarks, "More and more brand owners and manufacturers are turning to renewable and recyclable materials to sustainably pack their products, especially resulting in a growing demand for paper packaging."
