Amazon Donates Over $3,500 in School Supplies to Lenoir County Students

In North Carolina, Lenoir County Public Schools recently received over $3,500 worth of school supplies from Amazon for students most in need. The company's Kinston, N.C., distribution site delivered 150 packs of supplies and backpacks to district leaders just prior to the start of the new school year last month. The donations will be handed out to kindergarten through 12th grade students in need countywide. The donations included 50 composition notebooks, 10 packs of 500-sheet oxford filler paper, 10 packs of 4,000-sheet printer paper, and 240 wide-ruled notebooks along with various quantities of pens, pencils, markers, erasers, and other items. "Having the right school supplies is critical for student success," comments the district's Public Information Officer, Rebecca McGann.
