Fear of Trump Tariffs Is Causing Americans to Stockpile Toilet Paper, Medicine, and Food Before Prices Rise

According to a recent CreditCards.com poll, one in three American consumers plans to spend more money this holiday season, with the top motivation being fear of higher tariffs under President-elect Donald Trump. Research further showed that the paying public is not waiting for products to get more expensive, with many also concerned about possible supply-chain disruptions. Many Americans are stepping up purchases of everyday items and stockpiling essentials. Toilet paper ranks at the top of the shopping list with a whopping 77% saying they're stocking up on it. After defeating Kamala Harris last month, Trump threatened that one of his first executive orders would be a 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico if they did not take steps to curb illegal immigration and certain illegal drugs, plus an additional 10% tariff on China.
