73% of Businesses Still Use Paper to Process and Pay Suppliers

A recent PYMNTS Intelligence tracker, dubbed “Virtual Mobility: How Mobile Virtual Cards Elevate B2B Payments,” done in collaboration with WEX, attempts to underscore the need for businesses to move away from such legacy payment systems as paper checks. The research found that almost 73% of businesses still use paper to process and pay suppliers and have yet to automate supplier payments. The analysis positioned virtual cards and mobile wallets as alternative solutions, offering everything from enhanced security to improved cash flow visibility.
