Kimberly-Clark Beats Quarterly Sales Estimates as Demand Holds for Household Staples

Kimberly-Clark Corp. this week posted third-quarter results driven by resilient consumer demand for the company's brands, along with the introduction of some innovative new products. Kimberly-Clark Chair and CEO, Mike Hsu comments, "We held global weighted share, reflecting the strength of our brands across geographies and the good-better-best ladder." Net sales of $4.2 billion were in line with a year prior, with organic sales growth of 2.5 percent offset by divestitures and business exits. Reported gross margin was 36.0 percent, and adjusted gross margin was 36.8 percent -- a decrease of 170 basis points year over year. Kimberly-Clark trusted brands sell in more than 175 countries and territories and Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle, and Viva.
