The LEGO Group is in the process of advancing its sustainability objectives by replacing single-use plastic packaging with recyclable paper bags across a majority of its packaging lines. Research from the company's Play Well Study indicates that more than 80% of children surveyed expressed concern for recycling, with a similar number interested in waste reduction. The transition forms part of a broader strategy to make all LEGO packaging more sustainable, with a focus on recyclability. Over 50% of the packing lines that handle LEGO bricks have now adopted paper-based bags rather than single-use plastic.
