Former Domtar President and CEO John Williams has transitioned from his role as non-executive chair of the Domtar Management Board into a new post supporting Domtar owner Jackson Wijaya. The new role, senior advisor to the Owner's Office, will enable Williams to spend more time focusing on his health. Williams was president and chief executive of Domtar from 2009 to 2023 before becoming non-executive chair of the Paper Excellence Group when legacy companies Paper Excellence, Resolute Forest Products, and Domtar started integrating into a privately held forest products manufacturer. Domtar has an annual production capacity of 9.1 million metric tons of paper, pulp, packaging and tissue, and approximately three billion board feet of wood products.
