Philadelphia Launches Portal to Streamline Waste, Recycling Reporting

Just prior to the end of 2025, the Philadelphia Department of Sanitation launched a new commercial waste and recycling portal designed to help city businesses stay up to date on recycling rules and waste reporting via a single website. Available in multiple languages, the new portal allows businesses to submit or update their required waste and recycling plans, detailing how they'll separate recyclables like paper, cardboard and metals to comply with Philadelphia's Zero Waste goals. City government aims to divert 90 percent of waste from landfills or incinerators by 2035.
