In Memoriam: Kurt Van Steemburg

The paper industry community is mourning the loss of Kurt Van Steemburg, a longtime industry professional and former vice president of sales and marketing with Hudson Valley Paper. Kurt passed away on March 3, 2026, at age 72. Over a 40-year career in the paper business, colleagues and friends remembered him for his integrity and the respect he showed others. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at the Argus Hotel in Albany, New York, with a celebration of life planned this summer.
