Domtar Begins Installation of a New Tissue Converting Line at Its Tennessee Mill

Domtar has begun installing a new high-speed tissue paper converting line at its Calhoun, Tennessee, mill. The project will aim to improve efficiency, increase operational output and support long-term scalability throughout the facility. With its converting capabilities, the advanced converting equipment will help better align the mill's tissue production capacity. This, in turn, should bolster overall operational performance and enhance Domtar's ability to serve the U.S. tissue market. The mill will also be expanding its existing tissue roll storage space in parallel with the new converting line. Tony Sanders, vice president of sales and marketing for Domtar, notes that the investment underscores the company's ongoing commitment to operational excellence and future growth in the U.S. tissue market.
