Paper Mill Expansion Project Progressing on Schedule

Green Bay Packaging’s Project PowerPack remains on schedule, with crews presently installing the structural steel for the new recovery boiler complex. The project is a multi-year modernization of the Arkansas Kraft paper mill in Morrilton, Ark. With a $1 billion investment in upgrading key manufacturing components, Green Bay is looking to enhance operations for a more sustainable future. The initiative is part of the company's larger decarbonization strategy, which aims to substantially reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions. And by buying up nearly 300 acres of land for future investments and expansions, Green Bay is hopeful the mill will remain viable and competitive for many years.
