Mid America Paper Recycling Celebrates 100-Year Anniversary

Chicago-based Mid America Paper Recycling is currently marking a century of continuous operation serving paper mills, suppliers, and industrial packaging partners throughout North America. Founded in 1926, Mid America is a fourth-generation company that provides paper and recycling solutions. It has grown from a local scrap operation into a major  recycling partner with long-standing relationships that help businesses increase revenue and improve sustainability outcomes. Don Gaines, a fourth-generation leader of the company, remarks, "Markets change. Customers change. But what doesn't change is how you show up, being genuine, sharing your knowledge and helping people find better ways to operate." As it celebrates its 100-year milestone, Mid America is entering a new phase of growth as part of FV Recycling, a broader platform designed to expand capabilities and bring additional resources to customers.
