Recyclable Paper Mailer Helps E-Commerce Businesses Comply With Waste Laws

RRD has taken the wraps off a paper-based mailer with a peel-and-seal strip and instant-bond adhesive that's designed for curbside recycling, regulatory compliance, and seamless operations on automated lines. Dubbed the VersaPac FastTrack Paper Mailer, it is made from third-party certified paper and replaces silicone-coated poly strips with a peel-and-seal strip made from recyclable paper. This component is expected to prevent contamination in the paper recycling stream. In addition, it is intended to avoid slip hazards and keep packages secure. Brands are being urged to use the VersaPac FastTrack Paper Mailer as a replacement for mixed-material, hard-to-recycle alternatives such as paper-and-bubble combinations that incur higher extended producer responsibility fees.
